The Memory of Miss Lou

The Memory of Miss Lou, 2023

An early component of The Memory of Miss River, The Memory of Miss Lou was a public multi-channel video installation presented on the store-front facing windows of the historic Buttress Building in Downtown Natchez, Mississippi as part of Allumer Natchez Light Festival. The title of the project derives its name from “Miss-Lou” the Mississippi River water border that delineates Mississippi from Louisiana. In this installation Miss Lou is manifested as two river entities who embody the gestures of the River and transform them through dance.
